Park Center played a very strong first half, leading 43-27 at the break. Lakeville North restored harmony with a 40-24 second half. Park Center scored 7 in OT, while Lakeville North put up 5 to clinch the win.
Park Center was the clear leader in points off turnovers, with 15 to Lakeville North's 4. Second chance points were even, with 16 for LN and 15 for PC. Park Center had four more fast break points than Lakeville North, leading with a 10-6 margin.
In the closing seconds, with the score tied 72-72, Quinton Hooker shot for the winner, his shot missed, but Isaac Matthews got the rebound, and scored for a nail-biting 74-72 point victory.
The winner of Andover vs Edina will face Park Center tomorrow, the 31st, at 8:00 PM at the Target Center. Apple Valley and Eden Prairie are on the other side of the bracket. These should be two excellent Class AAAA Semi-final games.
