Alipate planning visits

When it comes to multi-sport athletes, Bloomington Jefferson's Marcus Alipate is one of the best Minnesota has to offer. This fall he's going to be a busy man as Marcus is a senior go to guy on the gridiron, he has visits to think about for his college basketball career, and of course he has senior coursework in the classroom.
You want to talk busy? How about at one point last season Alipate started both ways for the Jaguar football team playing wide receiver and defensive back. Add to that Marcus also punted, kicked field goals, returned punts, and returned kicks. He accounted for 806 total yards last year plus caught six touchdown passes and threw for one 75 yard score.

On the court Marcus led Bloomington Jefferson with an average of 17.8 points per game as a junior. His career scoring total sits at 973 career points so he should top the 1,000 point barrier in the second game of the year at the most.
As an athlete this talented it's no surprise that Alipate picked up basketball scholarship offers from Wofford and South Dakota in the off-season. Marcus is thinking about those schools and more for his college destination.
"I am looking at Bucknell, Minnesota, UCLA, Wofford, and South Dakota," said Alipate. "I am planning on going out to UCLA , Wofford and Bucknell (on visits). I am going sometime in the fall to visit them . And I think after I take my visits to those schools I will make a decision."
Alipate's older brother Moses Alipate is a red-shirt freshman quarterback at Minnesota.
Marcus is currently ranked as the second best point guard in the state of Minnesota and at least a top 15 prospect overall when the new rankings are released in September.
