Apple Valley wins AAAA title for the first time

Apple Valley brings home their first ever basketball championship trophy, after defeating Park Center for the title in a 74-57 battle at the Target Center in Minneapolis Minnesota.

Apple Valley took control of the game early and gradually increased their lead all game long. This, in spite of the efforts of a tough Park Center Pirates team. The game was very physical and big men, Dennis Austin, and Bertram Brock put up walls under the basket for AV at both ends of the court. Harry Sonie showed hustle on offense and defense as well.

Apple Valley's Tyus Jones thrilled the crowd with his full court passes, as well as his ablity to score nearly at will. He is a phenomenal talent with a well deserved national reputation. Dustin Fronk and Tyus Jones have been playing ball together for many years. They are friends as well as teammates. Together with the rest of their talented squad they accomplished their goal of bring a Championship home to Apple Valley
