Change can be scary! Mike Bruesewitz faced a tough change early in his high school career. Mike was happy and established in his high school and life when his Dad had to move for work.
Mike was used to the small town life and now he was coming to the city for a new home school and basketball team.
Things could not have turned out better. Mike's new school was Henry Sibley High located in Mendota Heights Minnesota and their basketball team was solid.
Mike's skills and size were immediately appreciated and his contribution helped take Sibley to a second place finish for the State Championship in Minnesota's large school division.
Mike continued to work on his game. His year round play through AAU as well as his varsity experience lead to the offer and acceptance of a scholarship to Wisconsin.
This past week I attended an open gym at Henry Sibley and had the chance to sit down and visit with Mike.
