Busack is a Maverick

Redwood Valley small forward Michael Busack is a top 20 prospect in the state of Minnesota's class of 2012 talent. The 6-foot-5 standout averaged 20.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.6 steals a game this past winter as a junior and he led his team to the state tournament.
This is definitely the resume of a division one player and Busack's size, athletic ability, and skill are even further proof.

However, in Minnesota college basketball is a little different than the rest of the country. In this region we have the Northern Sun division two league that has teams like Winona State, Augustana, St. Cloud State, Minnesota State-Mankato, and others who not only are very similar to about 100-150 division one schools but in many cases these teams are better.
A huge chunk of the Northern Sun showed interest in Busack and he accumulated a handful of offers from some of the better teams in the league. Yesterday Busack sent Minnesota Preps the following message ending his recruitment.
"I just wanted to let you know that I committed to Minnesota State-Mankato," said Busack.
In other words one of the strengths of the NSIC just got stronger.
