His Pump squad Played in Minnesota, Iowa, Indiana, Chicago, Denver and Las Vegas this summer. Their team went 39-11, Javis talks about that experience.
"My travel experience helped me become a better player because I played against different levels of competition which allowed me see where my game was and what I need to work on. My summer overall was really good. I worked hard on a lot of my weaknesses and tried to improve in every aspect of the game. I played a lot of basketball and really enjoyed traveling. Playing in front of several college coaches was exciting and showing the coaches what I can do was a good feeling."
He is working his shooting and developing his entire game.
"I am working on making my perimeter jump shot consistent and on my mid-range game. Also working on my strength and quickness."
Johnson is being recruited by Iowa State, Purdue, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Gonzaga, Iowa, Creighton, and Northern Iowa and has some offers in the bank.
"I attended the Iowa State and Northern Iowa camps both where I got offered."
It will be time for the Varsity basketball season soon, in the mean time here is video from this past weekend to review. As Always, thanks to MyRecruitez for sharing their video.
