Brian Sandifer's Grassroots Sizzle has come back stronger than ever this AAU season with a team considered top five in the country led by Damarion Watson-Saulsberry. With the departures of potential number 1 NBA draft pick, Jalen Suggs and the consensus number one player in the country class 2021 Chet Holmgren the Sizzle should be in a year of rebuilding? Oh no...not the Sizzle. They have reloaded!

Damarion Watson-Saulsberry has stepped right in and filled the void left by Chet Holmgren with a game many compare to NBA All-Star DeMar DeRozen. The 6'8" wing with a 45" one-legged jump and a 6" plus wingspan is an uber-athletic freak of nature that has improved his game since the last time seen. During the school year, we caught Watson-Saulsberry a couple of times at Totino Grace and thought he was tight and not as confident in his game as we noticed during last year's AAU season.

This weekend Watson-Saulsberry didn't disappoint! He displayed the skill and athleticism high major college coaches covet. With the Sizzle, Watson Saulsberry looked like a shark in the ocean. The kid ate! He looked natural, lose, and very confident in his game which was evident with nasty dunks, blocks, and step-back threes. The kid can stroke it. In the three games observed he shot very well beyond the arc. He thrived this weekend in the Recruit Look Kansas Showcase leading Sizzle to a 3-1 record.

I know I shouldn't say this...but Saulsberry is a future NBA pro. This is what I projected his freshman year at Minnehaha when he was coming off the bench. He is underrated at this point...but who cares? He will have a meteoric rise this summer. Remember it's how you finish in the end. Saulsberry is one skill away from being off the Richter scale which he will pick up playing with the Sizzle. Just as soon as he implements off the dribble scoring the kid will make posters for a living.
