After the third game of the season, St. Thomas Academy's all-purpose back Savion Hart is the clear front-runner as the best running back in Minnesota. The 5'11" Twin Cities running back is reminiscent of former Holy Angels superstar Emmett Johnson who currently plays for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Hart is on pace to 2,000 yards from scrimmage and 4,000 for his career. Hart is "Must See TV!” and simply doesn’t disappoint. Last Saturday night Hart was magnificent playing against his former team (Cretin Derham Hall). I would say it was a special night for the former Raider, but I’d be embellishing it.
Every night is special for Savion Hart. This kid comes to play every game like it is his last. He is all about business on the gridiron.
In the 3rd quarter against the Raiders, Hart reeled off a 65-yard touchdown exemplifying the vision and speed coaches desire in an elite-level running back. But Hart was not finished. He would score another rushing touchdown and one through the air for 16 yards all in the quarter!
By the 4th quarter, Hart was on the bench with the game well in hand, which has been the theme for the last two games. Hart is the most dangerous running back in Minnesota because of his ability to catch from out of the backfield and his threat to take it to the house on any play.
Hart is hearing from Division One programs from various divisions. He is looking for the best fit. Hart isn't interested in stacking offers. He has a 3.58 GPA and wants to pursue a business management major and the program that offers the best opportunity to achieve his goals.
