Edina moves on to State!

Edina defeats Hopkins 55-53 and will be advancing to the State tournament. They put together a 22-7 record this season and will advance to the State Tournament for the first time in over twenty years.
Edina Head Coach Pat Dorsey and his crew struggled with early season losses when one of their top returning players was sidelined with injuries. When it was clear they would most likely play the season without him, they made adjustments and got back on track.

Edina point man and star Graham Woodward will be playing college ball for Penn State, and big man Reggie Lynch for Illinois State. Mark Handberg was All-Metro for Football and Nick and brother Ben Boone are strong athletes as well. Eight grader Griffin Ward is one of the few kids his age playing varsity ball across the State. He and sophomore Ben Boone are tied as the fourth and fifth leading scores for the team.
This squad has thrived in spite of setbacks that would have stopped other teams. Their reward is a ticket to State and the adulation of their community.
