Flack plans two visits

Lakeville North forward Tyler Flack has probably increased his recruiting stock as much as any one senior in the state of Minnesota this year. Flack has gone from a solid player with potential to a division one talent with the upside to be a multi-year standout. Flack has set a couple official visits for the coming weeks.
The 6-foot-6 forward from Lakeville became a statewide name two springs ago when game after game he was finishing alley-oop dunks for Steve Esselink's Wear Out the Net 16s team.

In terms of high school Flack played junior varsity as a sophomore and then averaged 11.2 points a game for the Panthers last season. He had a season high 21 points in a win over Apple Valley and helped lead a North team that was in transition to twelve wins.
This summer Flack joined up with Minnesota Select and coaches Barry Wohler and Mitch Ohnstad. Ohnstad has been working with Flack for several years and believes Tyler has a big upside.
"Flack has the type of athletic ability and size that most programs at the lower level of division one basketball usually don't get a hold of," said Ohnstad. "To go along with that Tyler can shoot too. He's put in a lot of work to improve not only the mechanics of his jumper but how to create space for shot attempts plus do it all with consistency."
The first division one program to recognize the talent was Wofford as they offered Flack a scholarship earlier in the summer. Flack now has other options on the table and more offers are likely to come as he takes official visits to those schools.
"Tyler is taking official visits to South Dakota and Bowling Green the next two weekends," said Ohnstad. "He is definitely moving up on peoples lists. Northeastern, UC-Riverside, Samford, and Wofford are all interested and there are some other schools that I'm not quite sure on.
"Tyler is still just scratching the surface of his ability. I really think he could be a great player at the next level."
