Kanneh spent most of his time playing TE at Cooper. He transferred into a school that was set at the QB spot and he got little time in that position.
"I had to split time at QB and TE so the colleges that were recruiting me at QB didn't get to see me play QB as much as they wanted."
Despite having to adjust to a new position after his move to Cooper, he was pleased with his attendance there.
"Cooper is the best school I've been to in terms of players being motivated and striving for the best. Every one works hard and wants to win, if you lose its unacceptable at Cooper."
Kanneh had offers to play as a combo Athlete/Quarterback at other Colleges but found Southern the best fit for him.
"Southern was the only school that wanted me at QB and when I took a look at the depth chart and saw I'd have a chance to play early, I took a visit. Then I knew it was where I wanted to be."
As signing day approaches Kanneh and many more like him will have their dreams to play at the next level come true. Hard work and dedication pays dividends.
