Hooker picks up Tulane offer

It's great when a player was under the radar has a chance to play on the national circuit,get seen and have his talent recognized. That's just the case with Quinton Hooker who travels with Howard Pulley and plays his High School ball for Park Center High in Minnesota.

When I visited Hooker to present him with the MinnesotaPreps player of the week award last season, his coach Bo Powell told me he thought Hooker was one of the top players in Minnesota and that he was under appreciated.

Well, now he is getting some appreciation - national appreciation - and offers.

Hooker feels great about his progress:

"I've now also been offered by Tulane. And right now I'm just really excited to be getting these offers and looking forward to the tournaments in July. Especially peach jam in south Carolina! I've also been invited to the Nike skillsU in Washington DC next week that I'm very excited and honored to be invited to."

It will be interesting to see where Hooker lands and how his next varsity season goes. I attended a Park Center camp this past week and they are looking for a strong year!
