Minnesota basketball fans got a show at the Target Center with the Minnesota Shorty Classic Showcase! Over the weekend, the classic featured top teams from the Grind Session and independent prep schools, Vertical Academy and Ye's Donda.

The stars came out in droves to support the showcase sponsored by DRG Management and Minnesota Prep Academy. Some of the stars in the house were Kanye West, Malik Beasly, Anthony Edwards, Bdifferent, Nardo Wick, and many more. There was a short King Combs performance at halftime. It was the hottest ticket in town!

Just as soon as the ball was tipped Donda and Minnesota Prep Academy did not disappoint. They electrified those in attendance with crazy athletic dunks and plays. Donda came to the Target Center with a loaded roster of future first round NBA draft picks in JJ Taylor, Jahki Howard, Jalen Hooks, Robert Dillingham, Brandon White Jr., Omarion Brodrick and Chuck Bailey. They were good as billed, but came up short against an underrated Minnesota Preps team led by Dj Jefferson.

Minnesota Prep Academy is a very seasoned basketball team with Tulsa commit Dj Jefferson, Tavion Banks, Brenden Moss, and Gob Gob. The contest was close throughout with Robert Dillingham and JJ Taylor anchoring the Donda team. At times those two seemed unstoppable as they created space and scored off the dribble with impressive moves giving the crowd something to cheer! Just when you thought Donda would take control and extend the lead to more than a few buckets, Minnesota Prep Academy's Dj Jefferson, Tavion Banks, and Brenden Moss made improbable plays of their own bringing the crowd to their feet, keeping the game close. Both teams traded runs throughout the contest.

Minnesota Prep Academy is also loaded, but may be one of the most underrated teams in the nation. After defeating Donda and Mikey Williams' Vertical Academy that should change. Just want to give a shout out to everyone that supported the Minnesota Shorty Classic and be prepared for Next November, which will bring in the top teams in the Nation.
