MN Prep Hoop Notes

Keeping up with all the Minnesota Prep recruiting updates is like trying to chase down celebrity relationships, it gets almost impossible to keep track but we the media at Minnesota Preps are trying our best to follow. August is the season that visits are planned and many unofficials are taken in preparation for the 2011 classes.
"Estan Tyler and Marquel Curtis are at UMKC right now," said St. Paul Johnson assistant and 43 Hoops coach Al Harris. "They are currently on unofficial visits. Not sure if they offered yet but the talk was that if they landed on campus they would receive offers."

Faribault's Michael Emge picked up the MSU-Mankato and Sioux Falls offers in July plus Minnesota Fury coach Ben Davis said, "Emge really blew up over July and is getting division one interest from a number of schools including Harvard, Duquesne, Air Force and Cal Poly. "
Shakopee forward Jason Perkins recently visited a pair of NSIC schools and came away with offers to play. "MSU-Moorhead offered Perkins," said Pump N Run coach Jeremy Miller. "He was at Moorhead and then visited UM-Crookston the next day and Crookston offered Perk too."
New Prague's Cale Girten is also adding interest. "Cale started to really get going offensively in late July and has also started to attract some interest from some local division two schools including St. Cloud State," said Davis. "Cale is hearing from many of the local division three schools and UW-Stevens Point is highly interested as he has been there on a visit and they have come to New Prague for a visit as well."
Pequot Lakes forward Kurt Moody has seen his interest pick up. "Moody may visit Bemidji State," said Minnesota Comets coach Chris Lewis. "Jamestown is also calling Moody plus Mike Stephens and Alex Erickson as well. Minot State likes Stephens too. Trevor Morlock has some moderate division two interest as well. Valley City and St. John's like Morlock as well."
