Moats is off the board!

Entering the weekend Waconia power forward Shelby Moats had dropped his list to three schools: Vanderbilt, Northwestern, and Washington State. Two weeks ago Shelby checked out Pullman, last week he saw Evanston, and this weekend he was in Nashville. After comparing the three schools Moats made his decision today.
"Shelby committed to Vanderbilt," said his Minnesota Pump N Run AAU coach Jeremy Miller.

The Commodores will be getting one of the nation's best pick and pop four men as Shelby can stretch defenses with his three point shooting range and consistency. Moats is coming off a junior year that saw him lead Waconia to a 22-4 record and a Wright County Conference championship while averaging 21.1 points a game.
The 6-foot-8, 230 pound power forward is Minnesota's top ranked player at his position as he's accumulated over 20 offers. At one point of time or another Shelby has had high major offers from Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Washington State, Iowa, Minnesota, Utah, Rutgers, and Providence plus offers from Butler, Creighton, Harvard, and several others.
Moats joins four star point guard Kedren Johnson as Vanderbilt 2011 committed prospects.
When Moats lands on campus Vandy will have Steve Tchiengang as a senior and 2010 Rivals 150 recruit James Siakam as a sophomore both at the four position.
