Orono rolls in opener

Orono opened their season last night with a convincing 78-57 victory over St. Michael-Albertville. The Spartans were led by the six made three-pointers and 26 points from senior scorer Jordan Smith. "I thought we played solid defense and shot the ball extremely well from the three for the game."
The Spartans hit a dozen of their 19 three-point attempts and a combination of five different players made those 12 treys.
"Jordan Smith had 26 points, nine rebounds, and six assists," said Woher. "Brady Wohler added 15 points and five steals. We had ten different players score as well."
In defeat STMA was led by the 17 points and 12 rebounds from Joe Carpenter.
