Park Center 66 - Edina 44

Park Center defeated Edina this evening at the Target Center. The final score was 66-44 as the Pirates moved into position to play Apple Valley this Saturday for the tile.
Edina's Reggie Lynch was in foul trouble and Edina's shots didn't drop like they usually do. Graham Woodward scored 17, but the next highest scorer for Edina had 9, and after that 7 and 4.
Park Center played very strong and effectice defense and took big man Lynch out of the game. It was a war under the basket all night long. The officials let the kids play and that was to PC's advantage.
Quinton Hooker had 14 for the night, as he distributed the ball and helped lead his team to a win with four players in double digits. Isaiah McKay had 16, Devin Buckley 13, and Treyton Daniels 12, Joshua Matthews was close with 9 points.
Buckley was tough under the basket, pulling down 11 rebounds. Mark Handberg led Edina with 12 rebounds. Park Center was 26-52 for field goals, shooting 50%. Edina 13 of 57 for just 22.8% from a normally sharp shooting team.
Park Center and Apple Vally will meet Saturday for the AAAA Championship. The team met last December 8th in the Breakdown Tip-Off Classic, where Park Center won 72-70.
Tyus Jones and Quinton Hooker play travel ball together and are close friends. It will be fun to see them go head to head for the championship. Both players are leaders on the court and involve their teams fully. Don't miss this one!
