Preps Hoops Notes

June is the month of college camps as players have taken to schools like Wisconsin, South Dakota State, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, and others looking to impress college coaches and improve their game. Check up on Cole Stefan, Tor Anderson, Peter Crawford, Alex Richter, the Noreen brothers, and more.
Wisconsin Camp
Players like Jake White, Jordan Smith, Alex Richter, Thomas Schalk, and Erik Robertson were a hit in Madison at the Badger Camp and White particularly was amongst the most impressive.
Jake received some great feedback from many coaches. He played at the camp with Madison Memorial star Vander Blue. Their team coach Chris Conger, who coaches at Lake Forest, Ill, believed that Jake was in the top five players for the camp and that includes Blue and J.P. Tokoto.
Net Gain Sports Update
Nevada continues to be in strong pursuit of Cole Stefan. He hears from them as often as possible and in every way that's possible. Cole is also commonly hearing from Pepperdine and Gonzaga on a more regular basis as well.
Stefan's Net Gain teammate Tor Anderson recently impressed at the North Dakota camp and earned a scholarship offer. The UND extension of an offer was his second overall as Montana State as also offered the hard working off-guard.
Below is the Net Gain schedule for July:
July 9-11th Summer Classic in Chicago
July 12-15th NY2LA Summer Jam
July 22-26th Adidas Super 64
July 27-28th Desert Duel in Phoenix
Loyola-Chicago Camp
-Pete Crawford will be down in Chicago for an Elite Camp at Loyola on June 19th and a team camp with BSM at UW Madison that weekend. Western Michigan has been calling the Crawford household lately. Schools after him also include North Dakota, South Dakota State, Loyola-Chicago and division twos UMD, Bemidji State and SW State are in the mix as well.
Also on their way to the Loyola-Chicago camp are Erik Robertson, Alex Richter, and Aaron Anderson. This trio will also be heading to Northern Illinois for a camp. At some point they will be joined by Kevin Noreen and Kyle Noreen.
The Noreens are coming back from an east coast swing. Kevin impressed at the Virginia Elite Camp, Kyle solidified his offer while playing some at Liberty, and both Noreens impressed at VCU. Kevin, a recent Boston College commit, received an offer from the school. Kevin has been to Boston College, Marquette, Virginia, and other places in the past several weeks, he'll be in Illinois soon, and Colorado State and maybe Gonzaga are amongst planned future destinations.
Shakopee Golf Outing
We are about one month away from the 3rd annual Shakopee benefit golf tournament on July 10. They are in desperate need of golfers. Please consider a foursome.
Also, if you have business contacts for a silent auction item or a tee sponsor, please help them in that area also.
This is an important fund raiser for the school because it pays for an assistant coach. Without it, they will have to drop the position.
