Ross Travis makes decision

Six-foot-7 Chaska small forward Ross Travis has made his college decision and he'll be playing basketball in the Big Ten. Last week Travis officially visited Penn State and next weekend he was going to visit Iowa but that changed this morning with his commitment to the Nittany Lions. Travis is the number one small forward recruit in Minnesota.
"I committed to Penn State," Travis texted to Minnesota Preps at around nine this morning.

Travis is a senior at Chaska this fall. As a junior Travis played point guard, small forward, and power forward for the Hawks averaging 12.2 points a game. Ross missed eight of his team's games as well as parts of a few others because of injury.
This summer he once again played AAU with 43 Hoops. Ross had an outstanding summer that allowed him to increase offers and college interest. Penn State and Iowa were two of the programs that offered this July.
Ross is the fourth player to commit to Penn State's 2011 class. The Lions already have commitments from center Pat Ackerman, center Peter Alexis, and point guard Trey Lewis.
Expect more on the Travis commitment later tonight from Minnesota Preps.
