Smith catching looks

The Orono Spartans are off to a great start at 7-0 after winning the Granite City Classic. Once again leading the team is guard Jordan Smith who is currently averaging 22.4 points per game and is 11 points from hitting the 2,000 point career mark.
In the four years that Smith has been playing for Orono the team is now a combined 63-28 with one trip to state in 2010. Jordan will no doubt leave his mark on the program and move on to the college level.

When it comes to college selection Jordan is looking to select a school that has the best combination of academics and basketball. He scored very well on his ACT scores and that has opened the doors of some very high academic institutions.
He currently is considering Harvard, Penn, Pepperdine, Penn State and Oregon State. There are several other schools starting to show more interest as well. As winter moves into March Madness expect college coaches to find their way to Orono games more and more as shooters with Jordan's feel for the game are few and far between.
