Solid Prospect: Lamar Ray - Southwest High

Lamar Ray from Minneapolis Southwest talks with Michael J Much from MinnesotaPreps about last season, his impressive stats, what he is working on to improve his game, and much more
MJM: Lamar, what position do you play and how did you do last season?

LR: I'm 5'11 I play OLB & RB I had 113 tackles (I believe 6th in state) 18.5 sacks and 21 TFLS (both 1st in state.
MJM: Do you have any scholarship offer? Have you had coaches visit your school?
LR: I don't have any offers yet Wyoming and the university of North Dakota came to my school.
MJM: Tell me about your school work. How are your grades, and have you taken your ACT test?
LR: I have a 2.3 & a 18 on my ACT.
MJM: I know you attend the TC Elite Camp this summer. How did you do there?
LR: I went to the Tyrone carter camp this summer and got linebacker MVP and last year I got defensive player of the year and I received all conference.
MJM: Lamar, I want to compliment you on the nice job you did with your Hudl highlight tape for your Junior year. There was not a lot of dead time between your hits. You looked very good. Do you play other sports?
LR: I run track.
MJM: what have to been working on to improve your game this past summer:
LR: I improved working on my lifting and my footwork.
