Summer Journal: Akeem Roller - Cretin-Derham Hall

Cretin-Derham Hall big man Akeem Rollerhas been very busy this summer attending camps around the country. He updates us on his travels by letting us read his summer journal:
My summer has been great; my first camp took place in Indiana. The camp was the R.A.S Football Camp hosted Anthony Spencer. I did well at the camp and showed my skills in the 1 on 1s. I got time to talk and pick the brain of the Notre Dame D-line coach and he liked the way I played.

The other camp I went to was the Nike Invitational. The coaches liked me because of my aggression and my willingness to learn.
The third camp was the University of Minnesota where I showed how powerful my first step off the line is, but it was just a good opportunity to meet my potential coaches.
The fourth camp I attended was the MAC Showcase at the Northwestern University and where I finally got to strip on the pads to show my skills in real game situations. I picked up three offers at the Northwestern camp.
Finally I went to the Wisconsin Badger camp where I meet a great group of coaches. The Wisconsin coaches gave me really positive feedback and I performed well. This summer has been great I got BIGGER, BETTER, FASTER and STRONGER, but now it's all about Championships.
