Thiesen grabs another double-double in Osseo win

Osseo moved to 4-0 in Northwest Suburban Conference play and 6-0 on the year last night with a convincing 62-44 win over Blaine. Ian Theisen has been a commanding force inside for Osseo lately recording his third straight double-double.
"The game was close going into the last eight minutes, but I believe our depth wore them out," explained Osseo Coach Tim Theisen. "With six minutes left, and the score 42-38 (with Osseo ahead) we went on a 20-4 run to end the game.

"(Overall), defensively, we were able to control the rebounds and only allow them one shot per possession."
The Oriole 6-foot-8 sophomore is averaging 13 a game through six contests plus Ian's rebounding at a high level. He was one of several standouts for the Orioles in last night's victory.
"Ian had his third double-double in a row (11 points and 15 rebounds)," said Theisen. "Michael Brush is continuing to hit the outside shot (averaging three made threes a game). Tyler Stromback is playing huge minutes off the bench and providing a big spark."
Brush is leading Osseo in scoring this season at 13.2 points per game.
Bridge Tusler led the team in scoring last night with 18, Stromback scored 13, and Brush had 11.
Blaine was led by 11 points from Tanner Schumacher.
