It was a very entertaining game last evening when Anoka travelled to Totino-Grace for the first game of both of their seasons. These of some images that Michael Malo Much shot from the sidelines. This was an action packed game. Lots of trash talk on the field and penalties. Also, a lot of rust from the off season with and excessive amount of fumbles, and turnover, including interceptions.
That's all to be expected as the season gets underway. Lots of adjustment will be made and both of these teams have lots of potential. We visited Anoka this summer as part of our summer football tour and they are a group of kids that want to to win badly. The are hard working and have some speed.
Totino-Grace under Coach Jeff Ferguson is also solid. We have made several practice visits over the year and TG is a well oiled machine. The last time we covered at Game at TG was when they played Minnetonka and lost in their first game playing up. They took that loss in stride and racking up good season and after good season.
We will be having extended player stories coming up this week as we touch base with several players and coaches a practice for next weeks games.
