Travis takes in Harvard

At the center of the Minnesota Pump N Run 3-0 Super Pool run in the Adidas Super 64 and the semi-finalist performance at the Best of The Summer was DeLaSalle forward Jonah Travis. Jonah's offer grew with every strong July performance and now he's focused on post-summer tour campus visits.
The Pump N Run finished their four month run with a 50-8 tournament record.

"The end of the year was great," Jonah said. "We competed against, and beat some of the best in the country and even though we didn't exactly reach our goal we still had a great time doing it. I had great time with people I will remember for the rest of my life."
Last night Jonah added an offer from Boise State who joins Harvard, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Lafayette, Loyola-Chicago, Miami (OH), Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Northeastern, Northern Illinois, Northern Colorado, Toledo, Tulane, and Wofford in extending tenders plus Northwestern and Washington State have shown some post summer interest. Harvard was the most recent school that Jonah visited (Travis has unofficially visited numerous schools in the past 13 to 14 months).
"The visit to Harvard was great," said Travis. "I had a great opportunity to spend time with the coaching staff and some of the players. I was really impressed by how welcoming and polite everyone was around campus. Also impressive was how everything was centered towards the students being able to succeed in a great environment while still having a great time, and how straight forward and honest the coaching staff was about everything. I was also impressed by or realized how normal everything seemed. I expected the people and everything to be a lot more intimidating then it really was."
Now that Travis has been East to check out the Ivy League, what is the next step in his recruitment?
"I have no scheduled visits right now," said Jonah. "At this point I'm just looking to see what is on the table and then take steps forward from there. Right now the most interest has been shown, in no particular order, from Harvard, Cornell, Tulane, Santa Clara, Northwestern and Tulane. This is not a final list, these are just the schools that have showed the most interest right now."
Last April during an open visiting period, coaches from Cal, Washington State, Northern Illinois, Boston College, Lehigh, Stanford, Wofford, Northern Iowa, North Dakota State, and others watched Jonah work out at DeLaSalle. Travis led the Islanders in scoring as a junior with 19.1 points a game.
